Build Your Company’s “Operating System” In Just 48 Hours

The Most Successful Companies In The World All Have One Thing In Common. They all have an “operating system.” During the Scalable Operating System Intensives, we’ll build your company’s “OS” in just 48 hours AND give you the coaching and support you need to ensure it’s done right.

Over these 2 days, there is just one goal in mind: speed to implementation. You’ll dive in with 48 hours of deep work to build and install your company’s operating system alongside the creators of the ScalableOS Framework, Founders of The Scalable Company, and other link-minded entrepreneurs.

ScalableOS has given me real clarity on my offers and how the business operating system should support them. This clarity has made me hire 3 members of staff. The sense of personal relief that I don't have to do everything on my own now is amazing.
Karen Frith
Fractional COO/CDO & Business Coach
Last October, I set a goal to move my family to Costa Rica for 2 months. Setting the goal to develop our OS to the point where I could leave for 2 months, and then actually leaving, was one of the greatest things I could have done. We just completed our first QSP Session. I hosted it on Zoom from Costa Rica.
Josh Taylor
Founder & CEO, Product EVO
Growth last quarter was 218% over the previous year and we are breaking all kinds of sales records, but more importantly, we are making serious profit! Our biggest growth has been a direct reflection of the strategies and OS put in place as a result of this program.

What is an “Operating System?”

We’ve all heard of a computer operating system or “OS”…

And a quick Google search gives a perfect description, “an operating system is a set of algorithms and a common language that enables different components to communicate with one another in support of the desired outputs of a machine.”

In other words, it’s what allows you to keep your email, calendar, Zoom, and 64 internet tabs open at the same time.

Now, this definition applies to computer operating systems, but in many respects, your business is a lot like the modern computer.

  • Set of Algorithms is your systems, processes, and standard operating procedures
  • Common Language is your meeting rhythm, scorecards, and communication architecture
  • Desired Outputs are your company’s goals and objectives

In other words, your business operating system is a single source of truth that documents what a company does, how it does it, and the progress it is making toward its stated goals and objectives.

And when designed well, it can scale to 40,031 restaurants, 1.9 million employees, and $9.8 billion in revenue, can you guess the company?

“The ‘Speedee Service System’ applied the principles of production line manufacture to fast food and formed the foundation of what Ray Kroc would later leverage to create the world’s largest food outlet chain…”1

In fact, McDonald’s original mascot wasn’t a clown named “Ronald,” but a hamburger man named “Speedee.” That’s how vital the SYSTEM was to the McDonald’s business!

But the problem is for many businesses, their operating system is less like McDonald’s and more like…

  1. It’s become background noise rather than a recipe for success.
  2. It’s a spider web of several different systems creating chaos and confusion.
  3. It’s forgotten about (or outdated at best).

So, is your company’s operating system due for an update? You’ll know if…

  • Plans are loosely defined and rarely followed
  • Work is chaotic, and nothing important ever seems to get done aside from the things that are “on fire”
  • Team members need to constantly be told what to do, and no one seems to know what’s going on!
  • Meetings feel like a waste of time
  • Profits are low…even on higher sales
  • You’re burned out and ready to quit…

With a scalable operating system in place, you’ll…

  • Get vital business tasks out of your head and off of your todo list
  • Eliminate mistakes and wasted time in your organization while empowering your employees to do their best work
  • Learn how to “clone” your best people so you can get more done with fewer headaches
  • Set strategic goals you’ll actually stick to
  • Create clear accountability across all critical elements of the business, and…
  • Go on vacation without checking your email or worrying about going out of business

You’ll leave this intensive with real results, including your very own Scalable OS Dashboard (don’t worry, we provide you all the templates and our brand new builder tool) and renewed clarity on exactly where your company needs to go to provide YOU the wealth and freedom YOU deserve.

If that sounds like a worthy goal, then I’d like to invite you to join us and…

You’re Just 6 Critical Tools Away From A Business That Can Run With Or Without You!

Now that you know what an operating system is, here’s how we will build yours…

Remember, an operating system is a set of algorithms and a common language that enables different components to communicate with one another to support the desired outputs of a “machine.”

These three components: the set of algorithms, common language, and desired outputs, form the basis of a simple model we created called the Scalable Operating System Framework that outlines all the assets you need to build and install an upgraded OS…

FIRST, we’ll document the “set of ALGORITHMS” that make your business run. These include your Value Engines, Business Playbooks, and Team Hierarchy and Accountability, or the High-Output Team Canvas, as we like to call it.

SECOND, we’ll define and develop your company’s “COMMUNICATION architecture.” This includes the Scorecards that you use to know if you’re behind or on track, as well as the Meeting Rhythm and Communication Architecture that lays out how information is shared and spread throughout the organization.

FINALLY, we’ll clarify your company’s “desired OUTPUTS” using a proprietary tool called a Clarity Compass so your people and systems are all aligned and motivated to achieve a common goal.

How do we accomplish that? With 6 proprietary tools that power the model and will enable you to build a fully-customized operating system that will scale as your business scales. Here they are…

Value Engine Planner

Visualize How Your Company Creates Value

Value Engines are the first tool that makes up the broader Scalable Operating System Framework.

They are a visual representation of how you create value at the company by either acquiring a customer or fulfilling on the promises made to the customer.

H.O.T. Canvas

Who Does What in Your Company

A High Output Team (H.O.T.) is defined by three things: a clear purpose, a clear context, and clear areas of accountability.

Our H.O.T. Canvas helps us identify who is uniquely responsible for critical value creation processes in our business and how they fit into the larger context of the business.

Company Scorecard

Measure Your Most Important Metrics

A Company Scorecard is the first step in establishing a common language and allows you and your team to gauge the performance of your business.

Our Company Scorecard helps us measure our weekly performance, define what "good" is, and can help us make adjustments so we stay on track to our 12Q targets.

Clarity Compass

Clarify Your Company’s Purpose and Direction

How do you scale culture? Better yet, how do you scale the best qualities of your top people?

Our Clarity Compass creates alignment and clarity in our business. It helps us clarify and communicate our why and our mission, vision, and values, and create alignment throughout your entire organization. Additionally, it helps scale the attitudes and behaviors of your best people to you can scale culture and replicate your A-players.

12Q Planning Grid

Set Your Company’s 3 Year Target

Can you tell the future? The 12Q Planning Canvas can help you envision it.

It helps craft a truly compelling vision for our company that is specific and measurable through identifying targets and keeping us on track towards those goals.

QSP Canvas

Highly-Effective Planning Meetings

The Quarterly Sprint Planning (QSP) Canvas helps us stay on track towards our 12Q goal and, quite literally, get on the same page.

It helps us plan our quarter through identifying a theme, strategic pillars, critical projects and key initiatives, and our success metrics for the quarter.

By the time we finish, you’ll have a fully customized and scalable operating system that can scale your business without you, so you can step out of the day-to-day and achieve your version of the entrepreneurial dream!
